RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance adjusting receipts and appropriations in the Street Improvements Fund in the amount
of $800,000.00, by increasing receipts and appropriations in the East Rosedale Street Landscaping Improvements project (City Project

by the same amount; and
2. Amend the Fiscal Years 2021-2025 Capital Improvement Program.
DISCUSSION:
This Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) is to adopt an appropriation ordinance decreasing appropriations in the Street Improvements
Fund from the East Rosedale Street Widening project and increasing appropriations in the amount of $800,000.00 in the Street Improvements
Fund for the East Rosedale Street Landscaping Improvements project. The Street Improvements Fund provides funding for the improvements to
East Rosedale Street. The street widening project was accepted by the Texas Department of Transportation on June 30, 2020. The remaining
funds in this project will fund the landscaping and irrigation improvements to East Rosedale Street between Miller Avenue and Interstate 820.

The Park & Recreation Department (PARD) anticipates the additional annual operating impact associated with this project, beginning in the first
quarter of Fiscal Year 2022, to be $56,898 annually. As of June 30, 2021, the cumulative total of all previously approved PARD M&C's increased
the department's estimated annual budget by $308,857.00 beginning in FY2022.
Funding for this project was not included in the FY2021-2025 Capital Improvement Program due to not anticipating putting the remaining scope of
the project into a new project facilitating the reconciliation and closeout of the East Rosedale Street Widening. The action in this M&C will amend
the FY2021-2025 Capital Improvement Program
The project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 5.
A Form 1295 is not required because: This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.
FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that funds are currently available in the East Rosedale Street Widening project within the Street Improvements
Fund and upon approval of the above recommendations and adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the Street
Improvements Fund for the East Rosedale Street Landscaping project. Prior to an expenditure being incurred, the Transportation and Public
Works Department has the responsibility of verifying the availability of funds.
