AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING PORTIONS OF
ALLEYS AND PORTIONS BELL AVENUE, FLOYD STREET, CARSON
STREET, BORDON STREET, AND COCHRAN STREET, SITUATED IN
THE SHELBY COUNTY SCHOOL SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 1375 ,
TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS AS SHOWN ON THE PLAT OF THE
FORBES ADDITION TO EVERMAN AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 388,
PAGE 33 OF THE PLAT RECORDS OF TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS;
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; THE
RETAINMENT OF EXISTING UTILITY EASEMENTS; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the following alleys and streets described below:
1. Being that portion of Bell Avenue situated in the Shelby County School Land
Survey, Abstract No. 1375, Tarrant County Texas; being as shown on the plat
of The Forbes Addition to Everman as recorded in Volume 388, page 33 of
the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, containing 46,740 square feet
(1.073 acre) of land more or less;
2. Being that portion of Floyd Street situated in the Shelby County School Land
Survey, Abstract No. 1375, Tarrant County Texas; being as shown on the plat
of The Forbes Addition to Everman as recorded in Volume 388, page 33 of
the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, containing 18,750 square feet
(0.430 acre) of land more or less;
3. Being that portion of Carson Street situated in the Shelby County School Land
Survey, Abstract No. 1375, Tarrant County Texas; being as shown on the plat
of The Forbes Addition to Everman as recorded in Volume 388, page 33 of
the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, containing 18,750 square feet
(0.430 acre) of land more or less;

the plat of The Forbes Addition to Evennan as recorded in Volume 388, page
33 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, containing: Tract 1: 20,000
square feet (0.459 acre) of land more or less; Tract 2: 12,421 square feet
(0.285 acre) of I and more or less and Tract 3: 5,140 square feet (0.118 acre) of
land more or less;
6. Being that 15-foot wide alley situated in the Shelby County School Land
Survey, Abstract No. 1375, Tarrant County Texas; being as shown on Block 8
of the plat of The Forbes Addition to Even-nan as recorded in Volume 388,
page 33 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, containing 6,000 square
feet (0.138 acre) of land more or less-,
7. Being that 15-footwide alley situated in the Shelby County School Land
Survey, Abstract No. 1375; being as shown in Block 9 of the plat of The
Forbes Addition to Everman as recorded in Volume 388, page 33 of the Plat
Records of Tarrant County, Texas, containing 4,270 square feet (0.098 acre)
of land more or less;
and as more specifically described in Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto and
incorporated herein, by reference be and the same are vacated and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the lands in the above-described vacated alleys and streets are hereby
released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all existing utility easements shall be retained by the City until such time all utilities
located in the easements are relocated at the owner's expense.

That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

Adopt Ordinance Vacating 8 Portion of Floyd Street, Bell Avenue, Cochran Avenue, Carson Street, Borden
Street and the Alleys Within Blocks Eight Through Ten, Forbess Addition for a Gas Well Site to be Leased
by Legend Natural Gas (COUNCIL DISTRICT 8)
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Adopt the attached ordinance vacating a portion of Floyd Streot, Bell Avenue, Cochran Avenue,
Carson Street, Borden Street and the alleys within blocks eight through ten, Forbess Addition; and
2. Waive any and all purchase fee value of the vacated land in accordance with City Policy (K8&C G-
110-61101*1410M
Peloton Land Solutions, on behalf of Ruth Carter Stevenson, has requested the vacation of these
unimproved rights-of-way to n*p|st them with the adjoining property for a gas well drill site. The City Plan
Commission recommended approval of this request at its meeting on December 16, 2011 An acceptable
replat (FS-0 11- 165) has been received.
The City of Fort Worth (Cdv) originally VbbainedUhnobovemenUoned rights-of-way through the platting
process. The City does not own land under or adjacent to the above referenced streets or alleys. Since
no City funds have been expended to purchase property or easement rights, collection of the fair market
value or any portion thereof is recommended hy staff tobewaived.
