ORDINANCE NO. 15780-01~-ZOUS AN ORDINANCE ORDERING A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE MELD ~N THE CITY OF FORT WORTH ON MAY 13, 2AQb, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A CITY COUNCIL MEMBER FOR CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT 4 TO SERVE THE REMAINDER OF AN UNEXPIREID TERM BE IT ORDAINED BY TIIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION I. The City Council hereby orders that a special election be held on Saturday, May 13, 2006, at which all qualified voters o£ City Council District 4 may vote for the purpose of electing a council member from District 4 to serve the remainder of an unexpired term until the regular City Council election in May, 2007. SECTION 2. Candidates may file an application for a place on the special election ballot conuneneing March 13, 2006, in the City Secretary's Office, lacated in the Municipal Building, 1000 Throckmarton, Fort Worth, Texas. The filing deadline is 5:00 p.m. on April 12, 2006. SECTION 3. (a) Gale Hamilton, Tarrant County Elections Administrator, sha11 serve as the early voting clerk. Gale Hamilton's official mailing address is: Gale Hamilton, Tarrant County Electians Administrator 2700 Premier Street Fort Worth, Texas76111 (b) Marty Hendrix, City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth, shall serve as chief deputy early voting clerk. (c) Applications for ballots by mail shall be mailed to Gale Hamilton at the address set out in subsection (a). Applications for ballot by mail must be received no later than the close of business on May 5, 2006. SECTIC®N 4. {a) Early voting by personal appearance sha11 be conducted beginning May 1, 2006, and continuing through May 9, 2005, at the following locations in the Tarran# County.
