A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, CASTING THE CITY OF FORT WORTH'S ALLOTTED VOTES FOR THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE DENTON CENTRAL APPRAISAL DISTRICT WHEREAS, the Texas Property Tax Code requires the creation of a tax appraisal district in each county in the State of Texas; and WHEREAS, an appraisal district is governed by a board of directors appointed by vote of the governing bodies of the taxing units that participate in the district; and WHEREAS, each governing body must determine its votes by resolution and submit the resolution to the district's chief appraiser; and WHEREAS, directors serve two-year terms commencing on January 1 of even - numbered years; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to elect candidates as directors of the Denton Central Appraisal District Board for the two-year term commencing January 1, 2020. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: The City of Fort Worth's 42 allotted votes for directors of the Denton Central Appraisal District are hereby cast as follows: 21 votes for candidate David Terre and 21 vote for candidate George Pryor.
