Clifford Davis called the regular session of the Fort Worth City Council to order 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, in the City Council Chamber of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas. INVOCATION - Minister Jim DeLong, Founder of Changing Your City The invocation was provided by Minister Jim DeLong, Founder of Changing Your City. PLEDGES OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE UNITED STATES AND THE STATE OF TEXAS (State of Texas Pledge: "Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible.") Clifford Davis acknowledging his influence in Fort Worth, Mansfield and the state of Arkansas with regard to segration and the first African American to become a member of the Texas Bar Association. Council Member Bivens presented Judge Davis with a certificate of recognition plaque in honor of his years of civic service. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES Motion: Council Member Byrd made a motion, seconded by Council Member Shingleton, the minutes of Work Session and Regular Meeting of December 3, 2019, be approved.
