Authorize the Temporary Closure of Keller Haslet Road between Citrus Drive and Vista Greens Drive from January 12, 2020 through June 11,
2020 for Storm Drain Installation (COUNCIL DISTRICT 7)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that City Council authorize the temporary closure of Keller Haslet Road between Citrus Drive and Vista Greens Drive from
January 12, 2020 through June 11, 2020 for Storm Drain Installation.
DISCUSSION:
The Transportation and Public Works Department requests the closure of Keller Haslet Road between Citrus Drive and Vista Greens Drive from
January 12, 2020 through June 11, 2020 for storm drain installation based on the project schedule, provided by the contractor, McMahon
Contracting L.P., CSN 51385, M&C 19-0319, City Project No. 101492. Due to the scope of work and the impact of large equipment needed to do
this work and in the interests of project expediency and public safety, this closure is requested.
This closure request is anticipated to have an impact on local neighborhood and school traffic. Local schools and bus depots have been notified
and the local citizens will be notified during the public meeting scheduled in January 6, 2020. An alternate route has been identified via Alta Vista
Road, North Beach Street, Timberland Boulevard, Park Vista Boulevard, and Alliance Gateway Freeway.
Traffic control plans for this project have been accepted.
A Form 1295 is not required because: This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.
FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
