ADOPTING THE HART VERITY VOTING SYSTEM FOR TARRANT COUNTY ELECTIONS WHEREAS, on August 13, 2019, the Tarrant County Commissioners Court voted to accept the contract with HART InterCivic to purchase a voting system designated as Verity System Version 2.3.1; and WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth contracts with Tarrant County for its Elections Administrator to conduct City of Fort Worth elections for Fort Worth residents in Tarrant County; and WHEREAS, Texas Election Code § 123.001(b)(3)(B) requires that, before a voting system can be used in City elections, the City Council must adopt the system for use in its elections. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, THAT: The voting system known as HART Intercivic Verity, Version 2.3.1, is hereby adopted for use in City elections for Absentee Voting by Mail, Early Voting by Personal Appearance, Regular Voting on Election Day and Provisional Voting. FURTHER, the system will be used for all City of Fort Worth elections run in whole or in part by Tarrant County Elections Office. FURTHER, the system will be used in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the certification order issued by the Texas Secretary of State.
