With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Price called the Fort Worth City Council Work
Session to order at 3:05 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, in City Council Conference Room 290 of the Fort
Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas.
1. Report of the City Manager - David Cooke, City Manager
a. Changes to the City Council Agenda
M&C 19-0037 will be continued to August 13, 2019, Council meeting.
M&C 19-0025 will be removed from the Consent Agenda for individual consideration.

Kevin Gunn introduced Reginald Zeno, Chief Financial Officer.
Council Member Jordan recognized the City Forester and the Forestry team.
Mayor Price recognized the Solid Waste abatement team for their hard work in removing a dangling cable
after the July storms.

Mayor Price also recognized all the participants in the active threat exercise.
Mayor Price noted that at 6:15 there would be an impromptu vigil in support of the communities of Dayton,
OH, Gilroy, CA and El Paso, TX.

Mr. Arty Wheaton -Rodriguez, Planning and Development Department, provided an overview of significant
zoning cases.
5. Report and Update on Iconic Art Projects - Martha Peters, Fort Worth Public
Art and Robert Lee, Fort Worth Art Commission
Martha Peters, Fort Worth Public Art and Robert LEe, Fort Wroth Art Commission provided an update on
Iconic Art Projuets.
6. Presentation on the Recommended Fiscal Year 2020 Capital Budget - David
Cooke, City Manager
City Manager David Cooke presetned the recommended FY 2020 Capital Budget. The
proposed tax rate is $0.7475 with $0.5950 going to Operations and Mantenance (O&M)
and $0.1525 going to Debt Service. Of the $0.5950 going to O&M $0.5300 will go to
Operations and $0.0650 will go to Capital.
7. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports
Council Member Moon - Revenue Policy update. Collections and the process. What are the efficiencies we
can find in paying our bills?

Council Member Jordan - Public Service announcement about schools back in session and to mind the school
zones and restrictions on parking at arterial intersections.
Council Member Bivens - Bold steps by Legal and Code on nuisances and a report by Human Resources on
Ban the Box.
Council Member Byrd - Walsh Ranch residents ability to get a Library Card.
Council Member Flores - Distance you can park from mail boxes and update on civilians being dispatched t
assist the Police Department on some calls.

There being no further business to come before the City Council Mayor Price adjourned
the meeting at 4:37 p.m.
