Authorize Confirmation of the Reappointment of Nommo Z. Donald as a Member the City of the City of Fort Worth Firefighters' and Police Officers'
Civil Service Commission for a Three -Year Term Expiring on October 1, 2022 (ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the confirmation the reappointment of Nommo Z. Donald as a member of the City of Fort Worth
Firefighters' and Police Officers' Civil Service Commission for a three-year term expiring on October 1, 2022.
DISCUSSION:
The City Manager is authorized to appoint, with the consent of the City Council, members of the City of Fort Worth Firefighters' and Police Officers'
Civil Service Commission. The term of office of each Commissioner shall be for three years or until a successor is appointed, confirmed and
qualified.
Nommo Donald was first appointed as a member of the Firefighters' and Police Officers' Civil Service Commission on October 18, 2016 (M&C G-
18851). In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 143, State of Texas Local Government Code, the City Manager is requesting the
reappointment of Ms. Donald as a member of the Firefighters' and Police Officers' Civil Service Commission. The reappointment must be
confirmed by the City Council.
Ms. Donald is the Vice President of Professional and Support Services for Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth. She is responsible
for the strategic planning, program development and growth for Texas Health Fort Worth's Business Health Services programs that support health
and wellness and aid in preventing catastrophic events. Ms. Donald earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from
Wilberforce University and a Masters of Healthcare Administration from University of Texas at Arlington. She is a member of the American College
of Healthcare Executives, the National Association of Health Services Executives and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is a board member
for Sister Cities International as well a Executive Committee member. She has been a resident of Fort Worth for over 13 years.
Nommo Z. Donald resides in COUNCIL DISTRICT 6.
A Form 1295 is not required because: This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.
FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
