SUBJECT
Amend Mayor and Council Communication 19-0330 to Adopt Supplemental Appropriation Ordinance Increasing Receipts and Appropriations in
the Water and Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the Amount of $4,695,196.00 for Fiscal Year 2020 (ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council amend Mayor and Council Communication 19-0330 to adopt the attached supplemental appropriation
ordinance increasing receipts and appropriations in the Water & Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the Amount of $4,695,196.00 for Fiscal Year
2020 transferred from available funds within the Water and Sewer Fund.
DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) is to amend M&C 19-0330 to adopt the attached supplemental appropriation
ordinance and establish the Fiscal Year 2020 appropriations in the Water and Sewer Capital Projects Fund to allow for the purchase of both fleet
vehicles and operating equipment in the amount of $4,695,196.00. The appropriation ordinance was inadvertently omitted from M&C 19-0330.
Every year the Water Department provides funding for the purchase of fleet vehicles and equipment required to maintain the water and sewer
system. The FY20 breakdown is shown below:

Funds for Water vehicles and equipment were included in the FY2020 Budget Ordinance (19-0243). This M&C amends M&C 19-0330 and
appropriates those existing funds into the Water and Sewer Capital Projects Fund.
A Form 1295 is not required because: This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.
FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that upon adoption of the above supplemental appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the Water and
Sewer Capital Projects (W&S Capital Projects) Fund. Prior to any expenditure being incurred, the Water Department has the responsibility to
validate the availability of funds.
