RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Adopt the attached Appropriation Ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water and Sewer Capital Projects
Fund in the amount of $477,884.00, transferred from available funds within the Water & Sewer Fund; and
2. Authorize execution of an Engineering Agreement with CP&Y, Inc., in the amount of $277,159.00 for Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation, Contract
102 project (City Project No. CO2725).
DISCUSSION:
This Mayor and Council Communication is to authorize the preparation of plans and specifications for sanitary sewer and water main
replacements on the following streets, alleys and easements located in the Bluebonnet Hills, Westcliff West, Westcliff, Colonial Hills and Como
neighborhood areas:

In addition to the contract amount, $200,725.00 (Sewer: $177,725.00; Water: $23,000.00) is required for project management, real property
acquisition, utility coordination and material testing.
This project will have no impact on the Water Department's operating budget when completed. Design is expected to start in May 2020 and be
completed by September 2021. The project is part of the Water Department's Sanitary Sewer Overflow Initiative Program.

M/WBE OFFICE: CP&Y, Inc., is in compliance with the City's BDE Ordinance by committing to 24 percent SBE participation on this project. The
City's SBE goal on this project is 10 percent. Additionally, CP&Y is a certified M/WBE firm.
The project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICTS 3, 5 and 9.
FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that funds are available in the current operating budget of the Water & Sewer Fund, and upon approval of the
attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the Water & Sewer Capital Projects (W&S Capital Projects) Fund SaniSewer Rehab
Contract 102 project. Prior to any expenditure being incurred, the Water Department is responsible to validate the availability of funds.
