AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE GENERAL FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,260.00,
SUBJECT TO RECEIPT OF A MONETARY DONATION FROM MR. ROBERT
WILLIAMS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING INSTALLATION COSTS OF A
LONGHORN SCULPTURE IN BUCK SANSOM PARK; PROVIDING FOR A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING TIIIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR
ORDINANCES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT, HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2012 -2013 in the
Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the
General Fund in the amount of $8,260.00, subject to receipt of a monetary donation from Mr. Robert
Williams, for the purpose of funding installation costs of a longhorn sculpture in Buck Sansom Park.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or
void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way
impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining
provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be incorporated into the ordinance approved by the Fort Worth City Council
effecting the budget of the municipal government of the City of Fort Worth for the ensuing Fiscal Year
beginning October 1, 2012, and ending September 30, 2013, and all other ordinances and appropriations
amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict
with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior
ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

and Adopt Appropriation Ordinance (COUNCIL DISTRICT 2)
RECOMMENDATION:
Kks recommended that the City Council:
1. Authorize the acceptance ufa donation from Mr. Robert Williams Vfa longhorn sculpture valued inthe
amount of $48.UU0.U8 for Buck GanoomPark;
2. Authorize the acceptance Vfa monetary donation from Mr. Robert Williams in the amount of $8,260.00
for installation of the longhorn sculpture in Buck Snnsom Park� and
3. Adopt the attached supplemental appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and
appropriations in the General Fund Fiscal Year 2013 Budget in the amount of $8,260.00, from available
funds.
DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this Mayor and Council Communication is to accept the following two donations (with a
total value in the amount of $56,260.00) from Mr. Robert Williams for Buck Sansom Park: (1) a longhorn
sculpture titled "Papa Lon hPrn"vvhichisvm|uedintheannuuntof$4O.UU0.U0.and(2)arnonatary
donation inthe amount of $8,260.00 for the installation of Papa Longhorn in Buck Sansom Park.
The Department was contacted by representatives of Fort Worth Public Art to consider the donation of this
sculpture to be used as a part of the improvements in the Marine Creek Corridor development project,
which includes Buck Sansom Park. Staff has inspected the sculpture, determined that it is suitable for this
project and that his in line with the western heritage that ia prevalent in north Fort Worth.
On April 25, 2012, the Parks and Community Services Advisory Board endorsed the Staffs
recommendation for acceptance of the longhorn sculpture from Mr. Robert Williams.
There will be no impact to the annual budget associated with the donation of the sculpture.
The Marine Creek Park Corridor is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2.
FISCAL INFORMATION I CERTIFICATION:
The Financial Management Services Director certifies that upon approval of the above recommendations

and adoption of the attached supplemental appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the Fiscal
Year 2013 operating budget, as appropriated, of the General Fund. The Parks and Community Services
