Kayser, City Secretary With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Price called the Fort Worth City Council Work Session to order at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, in City Council Conference Room 290 of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas. 1. Report of the City Manager - David Cooke, City Manager a. Changes to the City Council Agenda The correct title of the Resolution on the grant programs for Small Budiness/MWBEs is "Preserve the Fort". A corrected Resolution was provided to the Council and updated on the website. Update Related to COVID-19 Response and Recovery Tax Abatement Agreement Single -Family Dwelling of of at Least $190,150.00 on Glencrest Neighborhood and Zone Area Six (COUNCIL Grant Program for Small Business/MWBEs Impacted by COVID-19 - Robert Sturns, Economic Development Robert Sturns, Economic Development, outlined the "Preserve the Fort" grant program for small business/MWBEs impacted by COVID-19. The Mayor recessed the Work Session at 9:53 a.m. The Mayor reconvened the Work Session at 10:33 a.m. Emergency Household Assistance Program - Victor Turner, Neighborhood Services Victor Turner, Neighborhood Services, gave an update on the Emergency Household Assistance Program. COVID-19 Updates and Data - Chief Jim Davis Chief Davis gave an update on COVID-19 statistics and metrics. He addressed the various considerations for the reopening of city facilities and businesses. We will follow the health data to ensure that the public and employees are safe. He also provided an update on the City's finances and outlook going forward. City Manager Cooke called on Assistant City Manger Jay Chapa who provided an update on the demobilization of the homeless shelter at the Convention Center. 5. Presentation on Meet & Confer Agreement with Fort Worth Police Officers Association - Jay Chapa, City Manager's Office Assistant City Manger Jay Chapa gave an update on the results of the Meet & Confer Agreement with the Fort Worth Police Officers Association. the agreement will be on the council's June 2, 2020, agenda for action. 6. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports Council Member Zadeh - Use of parking spaces and travel lanes and speed limits and crash data Council Member Flores and Zadeh - speeding and sped limits Council Member - Allen Gray - Outreach on the CCPD continuation election Council Member - Bivens - lessons learned from COVID-19 Council Member - Jordan - Egrets and shovel ready infrastructure projects There being no further business to come before the City Council Mayor Price adjourned the meeting at 12:19 p.m. City of Fort Worth Page 4 Printed on 512212020
