With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Price called the Fort Worth
City Council Work Session to order at 3:06 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2nd, in City Council
Conference Room 290 of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas.
1. Report of the City Manager - David Cooke, City Manager
a. Changes to the City Council Agenda
City Manager David Cooke announced that the Council Meeting has been moved to
Thursday, June 4, 2020, at 3:00 pm in order for more speakers to be heard and to not
be impacted by the curfew if the Council chooses to extend it.
A Resolution on extending the curfew is on the Council's agenda for consideration.
Tax Abatement M&C 20-0357 will be continued to August 4, 2020.

Police Chief Kraus gave an update on the curfew and the protests.

Assistant City Manager Dana Burghdoff recognized the Virtual Meeting team that put
together the process for Boards and Commissions to meet virtually.
Mayor Price recognized Leann Guzman, Melinda Ramos and Chris Moseley fro being
named Top 100 lawyers by 360 West.

6. Update Related to COVID-19 Response and Recovery

Brandon Bennett gave the update on COVID-19.
- Reopening Plan and Budget Update - David Cooke, City Manager
David Cooke briefed the Council on the next reopenings.
7. Presentation Proposed Economic Development Agreement with Linear Labs —
Robert Sturns, Economic Development
Robert Sturns gave a presentation on the proposed Research and Development
Economic Development agreement with Linear Labs. The agreement will be on the
Council's June 16, 2020, Council Agenda for action.
8. Update on the 2020 Census and Redistricting — Michelle Gutt,
Communications and Public Engagement and Fernando Costa, City Manager's
Office
This presentation will be moved to the June 16, 2020, Work Session.
9. Presentation on Employee Leave Study — Brian Dickerson, Human Resources
This presentation will be moved to the June 23, 2020, Work Session.
10. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports
Council Member Allen Gray - Informal Report on contact tracing and on the Atmos Gas
rate increase.
Council Member Zadeh - Get the word out about wearing masks in public.

Council Member Allen Gray, Byrd and Bivens - Declaration/Resolution condemning what
happened to George Floyd, acknowledging that there is systemic racism in organizations
and a commitment to root out that racism. Make it community wide.
There being no further business to come before the City Council Mayor Price adjourned
the meeting at 4:44 p.m.
