The scope of the work includes multi -layer landscape planting and irrigation enhancements within the TxDOT right-of-way of US 377 / Camp Bowie Boulevard in the City of Fort Worth. This historic corridor is adjacent to a 6 mile stretch of Camp Bowie that is a thoroughfare and destination for thousands of residents and home to hundreds of businesses. The enhancement areas are located (see location map) between Clayton Road and Horne Street (excluding Hilldale Road to Bryant Irvin Drive) in the median of the six -lane divided roadway. Currently, the medians between Hilldale Road to Bryant Irvin Drive contain an array of landscape improvements which the proposed improvements would extend from. The proposed median improvements would include shrubs ornamental grasses, groundcover, mulch, and supporting underground irrigation system along approximately 3,500 LF of roadway. While improving the aesthetic of the corridor, these planting improvements will also consider proper intersection site distance and clear zone requirements. These beautifications will have air quality and visual benefits, will enhance a highly sought-after residential and retail corridor, and will be a high -profile collaboration of State, Municipal, and local agencies/stakeholders.
