With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Pro tern Jordan called the
Fort Worth City Council Work Session to order at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2020,
in City Council Conference Room 290 of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street,
Fort Worth, Texas.
1. Report of the City Manager - David Cooke, City Manager
a. Changes to the City Council Agenda
City Manager Cooke to withdraw M&Cs 20-0409, 20-0430, 20-0432, and 20-0434
from the consent agenda to hear from speakers.
Council Member Kelly Allen Gray will recognize the Friends of Tandy Hills and
Donors for the Broadcast Hill Acquisition.
M&C 20-0383 is a donation and Wanda Conlin and Don Boren will be present.

City Manager Cooke will call on Veronica Villegas, Diversity and Inclusion, to report
on theJuneteenth events.
The next Council meeting is June 23, 2020, and will be last meeting before the July
summer break. Our next meeting will be August 4, 2020.

Robert Sturns, Economic Development, provided and update on the Grant Program for
Small Business/MWBEs impacted by COVID-19.
The Council recessed the Work Session at 9:55 a.m.
The Council reconvened the Work Session at 11:28 a.m.

6. Presentation on Proposed Economic Development Agreement with Ariat
International, Inc. — Robert Sturns, Economic Development
Robert Sturns, Economic Development, provided an update on the proposed Economic
Development Agreement with Ariat International, Inc. The next step is a public hearing
on the creation of a reinvestment zone for tax abatement which is scheduled for August 4,
2020.
7. Briefing on Findings and Recommendations from 2020 Disparity Study —
Christina Brooks, Diversity and Inclusion and Colette Holt, Colette Holt &
Associates
Colette Holt, Colette Holt & Associates, and Christina Brooks, Diversity and Inclusion,
gave a briefing on the 2020 Disparity Study and Business Equity Ordinance amendments.
The amendments will be on the Council's August 4, 2020, agenda for action.
8. Update on the 2020 Census and Redistricting — Michelle Gutt,
Communications and Public Engagement and Fernando Costa, City Manager's
Office
Michelle Gutt, Communications and Public Engagement briefed the Council on the
Census progress to date, planned outreach and new schedule. Fernando Costa, Assistant
City Manager, briefed the Council on the formation of a Redistricting Task Force.
9. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports
Mayor Price - Update on the reading program in August or September
Council Member Bivens - Use of a PR firm to help us get our COVID-19 prevention
information; Game Room update

There was not a need for an Executive Session.
There being no further business to come before the City Council Mayor Pro tem Jordan
adjourned the meeting at 1:49 p.m.
