HomeMy WebLinkAbout(0024) M&C 20-0441City of Fort Worth, Texas Mayor and Council Communication DATE: 06/23/20 M&C FILE NUMBER: M&C 20-0441 LOG NAME: 1320-0105 REJECTION OF HAUL TRUCK LSJ PMD SUBJECT Authorize the Rejection of All Responses to Bid No. 20-0105 for a Haul Truck for the Transportation & Public Works Department through the Property Management Department (ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS) RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council authorize the rejection of all responses to Bid No. 20-0105 for the Transportation & Public Works Department through the Property Management Department. DISCUSSION: The Property Management Department (PMD) approached the Purchasing Division for assistance with buying a haul truck for the Transportation & Public Works (T/PW) Department. Upon evaluation of the three responses received staff determined that the Invitation to Bid (ITB) did not include specification for an existing unit that will be used in conjunction with the haul truck. The new specification will assure the unit offered will be comparable with the existing City owned equipment. Upon Council rejecting the three bids, the Purchasing staff will restart the bidding process. A Form 1295 is not required because: This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity. FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION: The Director of Finance certifies that approval of this recommendation will have no material effect on City funds.
