Call to Order Mayor Price called the Called Special meeting of the Fort Worth City Council to order at 10:05 a.m., on Friday, July 24, 2020, in the City Council Chamber of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas, 76102, with a quorum present. II. A. Certification of Official Returns by the City Secretary City Secretary Kayser advised the Council that before them were the certification and tabulations of the official election returns from Tarrant, Denton, and Parker Counties for continuation of the Fort Worth Crime Control and Prevention District for ten years and the continuation of the District's one-half cent sales tax for ten years with the certified cumulative returns for such election reported as follows: Crime Control and Prevention District For: 36,045 Against: 19,930 Mayor Pro tem Jordan made a motion seconded by Council Member Shingleton to accept the certification of the official returns and to direct that they be filed of record in the City's election register. Consideration and Adoption of Resolution Canvassing the Votes and Declaring the Results of the Election Held on July 14, 2020, on the Continuation of the Fort Worth Crime Control and prevention District for Ten (10) Years and Continuation of the District's One -Half Cent Sales Tax for Ten (10) Years. Motion: Mayor Pro tem Jordan made a motion, seconded by Council Member Shingleton that Resolution No. 5254-07-2020 be adopted. The motion carried 9-0. III. Adiourn There being no further business, Mayor Price adjourned the Called Special meeting at 10:06 a.m.
