AUTHORIZING APPLICATION AND ACCEPTANCE OF FISCAL YEAR 2020 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS, OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR WHEREAS, the City Council finds it in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Fort Worth that the following projects (collectively, the "Projects") be operated: • Urban Area Security Initiative Grant 2981406 - JEOC Sustainment Project in the amount of $236,022.18; • Urban Area Security Initiative Grant 2981806 - Planning Project in the amount of $892,160.00; • Urban Area Security Initiative Grant 2982006 - Management and Administration Project in the amount of $150,000.00; • Urban Area Security Initiative Grant 3419804 - Interdiction and Disruption Project in the amount of $363,000.00; • State Homeland Security Program Grant 3977001 - North Central Texas EOD Working Group in the amount of $46,500.00; • Urban Area Security Initiative Grant 4125901 - Cybersecurity Project in the amount of $204,162.42; • Urban Area Security Initiative Grant 4128101 - Enhancing Protection of Soft Targets Project in the amount of $353,500.00; • Urban Area Security Initiative Grant 4128301 - Enhance Intelligence and Information Sharing Project in the amount of $268,883.00; • Urban Area Security Initiative Grant 4128501 - Addressing Emerging Threats Project in the amount of $272,710.00; • Urban Area Security Initiative Grant 4128701 - Special Response Teams Project in the amount of $320,432.00; • Urban Area Security Initiative Grant 4129201 - Emergency Communications Project in the amount of $320,313.40 WHEREAS, the City Council agrees that in the event of loss or misuse of the Office of the Governor funds, the City Council assures that such funds will be returned to the Office of the Governor in full; and _ ORT WORrIF kir WHEREAS, the City Council designates any Assistant City Manager as the grantee's authorized official. The authorized official is given the power to apply for, accept, reject, alter or terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: THAT the City Council of the City of Fort Worth approves submission of the grant application for the Projects specified in the Recitals above to the Office of the Governor.
