RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council authorize execution of a contract with Advanced Paving Acquisition, Ltd., in the amount of $850,650.00 for
Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete Street Rehabilitation 2019-7 (City Project No. 102804) on approximately four lane miles at multiple locations.
DISCUSSION:
In the Fiscal Year 2020 Pay -Go Contract Street Maintenance Program, various types of street maintenance are grouped into specific contract
packages. The recommended construction contract outlined in this Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) will provide street rehabilitation for
approximately four lane miles at eight street segments under the Contract Street Maintenance Program, as identified in the attached project list
and maps (City Project No. 102804).
Construction for this project is expected to start in early 2021 and to be completed by summer 2021. Upon completion of the project there will be
no anticipated impact on the General Fund operating budget.
This project was advertised for bid on July 30, 2020 and August 6, 2020 in the Fort Worth Star -Telegram. On August 27, 2020, the following bids

M/WBE OFFICE —Advanced Paving Acquisition, Ltd. is in compliance with the City's BIDE Ordinance by committing to 13% MBE participation on
this project. The City's MBE goal on this project is 13%.
The City reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities of individual pay items within the contract provided that the total contract amount
remains within plus or minus 25% of the contract award.
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICTS 8 and 9.
FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that funds are available in the current capital budget, as previously appropriated, in the General Capital
Projects Fund for HMAC Surface Overlay 2019-7 project to support the approval of the above recommendation and execution of the contract.
Prior to any expenditure being incurred, the Transportation and Public Works Department has the responsibility to validate the availability of funds.
