Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing receipts and appropriations in the Stormwater Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $109,696.00 from available funds for the Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Contract 87 project (City Project No. C01956); and 2. Amend the FY2021-2025 Capital Improvement Program. DISCUSSION: On January 9, 2018, Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) C-28535, the City Council authorized a contract with Woody Contractors, Inc., (City Secretary Contract No. 50285) in the amount of $2,277,453.80 for construction of the Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation, Contract 87 project. The contract was subsequently revised by Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $118,196.00 authorized August 7, 2018 (M&C C-28779) but all the additional funds needed to cover this change order were not appropriated as a part of that Council action. This M&C appropriates the $109,696.00 to the Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Contract 87 project (City Project No. C01956) for the Stormwater portion of Change Order No. 1. Funding for this project was not included in the FY2021-2025 Capital Improvement Program due to an oversight in the funding from a prior fiscal year that was only recently discovered. The action in this M&C will amend the FY2021-2025 Capital Improvement Program as approved in connection with Ordinance 24446-09-2020. The project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 8. A Form 1295 is not required because: This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity. FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION: The Director of Finance certifies that funds are currently available in the UNSPEC project within the Stormwater Capital Projects Fund and upon approval of the above recommendation and adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the Stormwater Capital Projects Fund for the SS Rehab Contract 87 project. Prior to an expenditure being incurred, the Transportation & Public Works Department has the responsibility of verifying the availability of funds.
