DISCUSSION:
The City of Fort Worth Transportation and Public Works Department (TPW) requests a continuation of the phased temporary closures of Suffolk
Drive between Granbury Road and Winfield Avenue to December 23, 2020, Stadium Drive from Seminary Drive to 100 feet north of Seminary
Drive to August 20, 2021, and Suffolk Drive between Granbury Road and Stadium Drive to March 19, 2021, on behalf of the contractor Circle C
Construction (City Project No. C01669, City Secretary No. 51535). Mayor and Council Communication 20-0719 authorized the previous
continuation, and the original closure was established by M&C 20-0286. The project scope includes removal of pavement, installation of storm
drain junction boxes, bore and install a 90-inch storm sewer line, install various reinforced concrete piping, and make connections to curb inlets.
This project is in response to frequent flooding in the area.
The request for the extensions are due to utility conflicts that required redesign and revised construction sequencing.
Traffic control plans for this project have previously been accepted.
A Form 1295 is not required because: This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.
FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that approval of these recommendations will have no material effect on City funds.
