DISCUSSION: This Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) will consolidate programmable funds in the Contract Brick Pavement Repair, Concrete Restoration, and Street Maintenance programmable projects (City Project Nos. P00018, P00019, and P00022) into the Contract Street Maintenance programmable project (City Project No. P00020). All are funded with the same purpose of maintaining streets. The consolidated funds will be used for the award of the FY21 street maintenance contracts created as individual projects under the Contract Street Maintenance programmable project. The consolidated programmable projects will remain open until the existing child projects are closed. The General Capital funding was included in the 2021-2025 Capital Improvement Program. In order to move appropriations from one programmable parent project to other programmable parent projects, new appropriation ordinances are needed. This action will update the 2021- 2025 Capital Improvement Program as approved in connection with Ordinance 24446-09-2020. These projects are located in ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS. A Form 1295 is not required because: This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity. FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION: The Director of Finance certifies that funds are currently available in the Contract Brick Pavement Repair, Concrete Restoration, and Street Maintenance programmable projects within the General Capital Projects Fund and upon approval of the above recommendations and adoption of the attached appropriation ordinances, funds will be available in the General Capital Projects Fund for the Contract Street Maintenance programmable project. Prior to an expenditure being incurred, the Transportation & Public Works Department has the responsibility of verifying the availability of funds.
