PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
• Name: Healthy Homes
• Target Population: Senior Citizens — defined as 62 and over.
• Income: Up to 80% AMI
■ Applicants will be assessed and prioritized according to lowest
AMI%.
• Boundaries: City of Fort Worth
• Types of work: Healthy Homes is defined by asking what in the house
helps the senior citizen to stay in the house and stay healthy.
1. HVAC System
2. Electrical
3. Gas
4. Plumbing
5. Roofing
6. Aging in Place Assistance with the following items —
a. Grab bars
b. Lever hardware for doors
7. Projects will be assessed to include a binder that provides 1 year of
homeowner's insurance on properties where coverage is lacking.
• Number of Families Served: 70 families will be served / 35 families annually (2 years)
• Anticipated Project Cost per Home: $25,000 maximum
• How much money for Habitat? $2 million -
• 11.5% Admin ($230,000)
• 82% Service Delivery ($1,770,000)
• Program Budget.
o Staff Salaries
■ Intake Assistant - $31,200 + $3,120 FICA = $34,320
■ Construction Manager- $43,000 + $4,300 FICA = $47,300
o Service Delivery
■ Purchase one new truck ($36,000) _ $18,000 each year
■ Annual expense for program oversight = $15,000
o Total Admin Expense Per Year
■ 2021 = $115,000
