RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council authorize execution of a contract with Peachtree Construction, Ltd., in the amount of $1,563,752.00 for
2021 Resurfacing Project (City Project No. 102864) on approximately six lane miles of eight street segments at multiple locations.
DISCUSSION:
In the Fiscal Year 2021 Pay -Go Contract Street Maintenance Program, various types of street maintenance are grouped into specific contract
packages. The recommended construction contract outlined in this Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) will provide street rehabilitation for
approximately six lane miles on eight street segments listed below under the Contract Street Maintenance Program (City Project No. 102864).

Construction for this project is expected to start in early 2021 and to be completed by summer 2021. Upon completion of the project there will be
no anticipated impact on the General Fund operating budget.
This project was advertised for bid on September 24, 2020 and October 1, 2020 in the Fort Worth Star -Telegram. On October 22, 2020, the
following bids were received:

M/WBE OFFICE —Peachtree Construction, Ltd. is in compliance with the City's BDE Ordinance by committing to 3% MBE participation and
documenting good faith effort. Peachtree Construction, Ltd. identified several subcontracting and supplier opportunities. However, the firms
contacted in the areas identified did not respond or did not submit the lowest bids. The City's MBE goal on this project is 13%.
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 3, 4, 5, and 6.
FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that funds are available in the current capital budget, as previously appropriated, in the General Capital
Projects Fund for 2021 HMAC Surface Overlay Cont project to support the approval of the above recommendation and execution of the contract.
Prior to any expenditure being incurred, the Transportation and Public Works Department has the responsibility to validate the availability of funds.
