HomeMy WebLinkAbout(0069) M&C 20-0311 (2)City of Fort Worth, Texas Mayor and Council Communication DATE: 05/05/20 M&C FILE NUMBER: M&C 20-0311 LOG NAME: 60IMPACT FEE STUDY 2022 FUNDING SUBJECT Adopt Appropriation Ordinances in the Amount of $600,000.00 for the Purpose of Funding the Water and Sewer Impact Fee Study Update 2022 (ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS) RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached appropriation ordinances increasing receipts and appropriations in the Water Impact Fee Fund in the amount of $300,000.00; and the Sewer Impact Fee Fund in the amount of $300,000.00 from available funds for the purpose of transferring to the 2019 Water Impact Fee Study project (City Project No. 102211) DISCUSSION: On December 3, 2019, with Mayor and Council Communication (M&C 19-0356) the City Council authorized execution of an agreement with Freese and Nichols, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $600,000.00 to update the Water and Wastewater Land Use assumptions and Capital Improvements Plan for the purpose of revising the impact fee assessed for water and wastewater in the accordance with Chapter 395 of the Texas Local Government Code (City Project No. 102211) This M&C completes the funding transactions needed to properly appropriate and transfer the available impact fee funds from the Water/Wastewater Wholesale Impact Fees project (City Project No. B20004) and from the Water/Wastewater Retail Impact Fees project (City Project No. B20005) to the 2019 Water Impact Fee Study project (City Project No. 102211) within the Water Impact Fee and Sewer Impact Fee funds. An amount of $300,000.00 will be appropriated and transferred within each fund from project B20004 ($150,000.00) and project B20005 ($150,000.00) to (project 102211) This project is located in (ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS) A Form 1295 is not required because: This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity. FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION: The Director of Finance certifies upon approval of the above recommendations and adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the Water Impact Fee and Sewer Impact Fee funds, 2019 Water Impact Fee Study project.
