DISCUSSION: Cook Children's Medical Center has requested an Encroachment Agreement to allow for the construction of an underground pedestrian tunnel crossing beneath a City public access easement and City water and sanitary sewer mains located at 1534 Pruitt Street. The purpose of the tunnel is to connect the basement level of a proposed parking garage to a future building. The Encroachment Committee, consisting of staff from the Transportation and Public Works Department, the Water Department, and the Development Services Department have reviewed and approved the encroachment request. The application fee for the encroachment this Agreement will be $575.00. The Agreement will have a 30-year term with automatic renewals if none of the conditions change.
