BB fT ORDAfNED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2085-2005 in the Budget of the City Manager, there shah also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $73,254.50 from available funds for the purpose of funding an Irrterlocal Agreement with Tarrant County for the overtay of portions of Golden Triangle Boulevard, Harmon Road, Katy Road, Keller Haslet Road East, Keller Haslet Road West, Keller Hicks Road And Blue Mound Road in Fott Worth and Tarrant County, Precinct No. 3. SECTION 2. That shaufd any portion, section ar part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shaft in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full farce and effect. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 16582 and alf other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other on:linances and appropriations, in which 'instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. Authorize the transfer of $73,264.50 from the Water & Sewer Operating Pond to the Water Capital Projects Fund; 2. Adapt the attached Appraprfatian Ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriation in the Water Capital Projects Pund in the amount of $73,264.50 from available funds; and 3. Authorize the City Manager to execute an In#erlacal Agreement with Tarrant County for the overlay of a) Golden Triangle Boulevard from !H 35 W to Harman Raad for a distance of 2,027 linear feet; b} Harman Raad, from Golden Triangle Boulevard to Keller Hicks Road fora .distance of 3,216 linear feet; c) Katy Raad, from Keller Hicks Road to Caylor Road West for a distance of 5,160 linear feet; d) Keller Haslet Raad East from Caylor Road North to US 377 (excluding the County's section) for a distance of 3,216 linear feet; e) Keller Haslet Raad West from Alta Vista Raad to Caylor Raad North for a distance of 3,057 linear feet; f} Keller Hicks Road from Harman Raad to IH 35 W {excluding the County's section) for a distance of 2,835 6nearfeet; and g} Blue Mound Raad, from U5 287 to 1=M 156 (excluding the County`s and Hasfet's sections} for a distance of 10,926 linear feet for a total cost to the City not to exceed $710,925. ®1SCUSSIt3N: At the request of City staff, Tarrant County has agreed to enter into an lnterlocal Agreement to overlay the following portions of City streets within the outlying areas of the City: STRBET LIMITS Golden Triangle Bivd from [H 35W to Harmon Road Harmon Raad from Golden Triangle Blvd. to Keifer Hicks Raad Katy Road from Keller Hicks Road to Caylor Road W Keller Haslet Road East from Caylor Road N to U8 377 (excluding the County's section) Keller Haslet Raad West from Alta Vista Road to Caylor Raad N. Keller Hicks Road from Harmon Road #o IH 35 W (excluding the County's section) Blue Mound Road from t!5 287 to FM 156 (excluding the County's & Haslet's section) Under this agreement, Tarrant County will provide all the necessary lobar and equipment to perform this Lognazne: 20GOLDEN TRI Page 1 of 2 work. By agreement between the City and Tarrant County, the City agrees, at its sole option, to either deliver all ~of the materials necessary and required for the rehabilitation of the roads or to pay for the actual cost of the materials as incurred, by the County including any delivery or freight costs. The City will provide a purchase order and will be billed directly by the material supplier. The County may accumulate and bi{I the City for incidents[ material cost. The cost of pavement rehabilitation an Katy Road is $146,529, and wi#! be shared 50150 between Transportation Public Works and the Water Department. The City agrees to pay for the cost of providing materials, traffic control and other incidentals and contingencies at a total project cost not to exceed $710,925. Additionally, the City agrees to the closing of each road to through traffic for the duration of the project or as deemed necessary by Tarrant County. This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2 and 7. FISCAL INf=®RMI~TIONICERTIFIC,ATION: The Finance Director certifies that upon approval of the above recommendations and adoption of the attached apprnpriatinn ordinance, funds will be available in the current capital budget, as appropriated, of the Water Capital Projects Fund and of the Contract Street Maintenance Fund.
