Authorize execution of an engineering agreement with TranSystems Corporation, in the amount of $393,198.00 for Water and Sewer Main Extension to serve Wat Buddharatanaram Community project; and 2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing receipts and appropriations in the Water and Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $614,348.00 for the Water and Sanitary Sewer Main Extension to serve Wat Buddharatanaram Community project (City Project No. 102994) transferred from available funds within the Water and Sewer Fund. DISCUSSION: This Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) is to authorize the preparation of plans and specifications for water and sanitary sewer main extension to serve Wat Buddharatanaram Community on Wat Road (SE-HA-PAYAK) which begins and ends on Keller Haslet Road. In addition to the contract amount, $221,150.00 (Water: $93,575.00; Sewer: $127,575.00) is required for project management, utility coordination, real property acquisition and material testing. This project will have no impact on the Water Department's operating budget when completed. Design is expected to start in February 2021 and be completed by May 2022. Appropriations for Water and Sanitary Sewer Extension to serve Wat Buddaharatanaram Community, are as depicted below: Fund W&S Capital Projects - Fund 56002 Existing Appropriations Additional Appropriations $614,348.00 Project Total* $614,348.00 Project Total $0.00 $614,348.00 $614,348.00 *Numbers rounded for presentation purposes. M/WBE OFFICE: TranSystem Corporation is in compliance with the City's BIDE Ordinance by committing to 11 % SBE participation on this project. The City's SBE goal on this project is 10%. The project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7. FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION: The Director of Finance certifies that funds are currently available in the Water & Sewer Fund and upon approval of the above recommendation and adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the current capital budget, as appropriated, in the W&S Capital Projects Fund for the W&WS to serve Wat Buddharahara project.
