CITY OF FORT WORTH WATERLINE ASSISTANCE THROUGH EMERGENCY REPAIRS (WATER) PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Fort Worth Waterline Assistance Through Emergency Repairs (WATER) Program has been established to assist eligible Fort Worth residents impacted by the February 2021 snowstorm for plumbing repairs including water and gas lines and water heaters to their primary residence. Assistance is available for owner -occupied households within the city limits of Fort Worth whose total household income does not exceed 80% of area median income (AMI). This program will be administered through the City of Fort Worth, Trinity Habitat, and United Way to eligible owner -occupied households in Fort Worth. Up to $5,000 in CDBG funding per household *Additional assistance may be provided via other sources (i.e., CSBG, CEAP, TVC, HOME, United Way) o Household Income <_80% area median o Proof of Identity (e.g., state issued income* personal ID, Driver's License, etc.) o Owner -occupied dwellings only (i.e., o Proof of Ownership (Mortgage statement, Applicant's primary residence) Deed) o Dwelling unit located within the city limits o Proof of Primary Residence (Utility bill, of Fort Worth voter registration, homestead exemption, o Housing unit has been damaged by the etc.) February 2021 snowstorm o Proof of Household Income (check stub, W-2, tax return, etc.) o Completion of online application (via Neighborly Software) o Proof damage(s) occurred as a result of the 2021 snowstorm • . I . . o Plumbing repairs (water line breaks, gas o Households receiving assistance from line breaks) insurance claims/proceeds filed are not o Water heater repairs (in -operable or eligible unsafe) o Tenants of rental properties o Gas lines repairs o Landlords o Dwelling units that are not the primary residence of the owner *Some funding assistance may require the total household income to be 560% AMI NOTE: Various funding sources may be used to assist an applicant through this program and the regulations and requirements of the specific funding source(s) are applicable.
