BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fisca Year 2010 -2011 in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts Vdl 2ppropriations in the Grant Capital Projects fund in the amount of $4,692,090.00, from available fun a purpose of funding the West Rosedale Retrofit project. Adopt the attached resolution authorizing the exec of a funding agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation in the amount of $4, 2, .00 with City participation of $2,572,090.00 for the West Rosedale Retrofit project between 8th Pee de and South Main Street; 2. Authorize acceptance of contribution in t Oount of $2,100,000.00 from Special Assessment District Fund, TIF District No. 4, to the Grant Ca 'i�k rojects Fund; 3. Authorize the transfer of $472,09 rom the 2007 Critical Capital Projects Fund to the Grant Capital Projects Fund; 4. Adopt the attached appro n ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Grant Capital Projects Fun he amount of $4,692,090.00; and 5. Authorize initial payqnt to Texas Department of Transportation in the amount of $25,590.00 for design review in accordance to the agreement. DISCUSSION: This project will reconstruct West Rosedale from 8th Avenue to South Main Street from a six -lane arterial to a four -lane arterial with bike lanes, increased pedestrian improvements, bulb -outs for on- street parking and landscaping and lighting under a context sensitive approach to enhance the corridor. The attached resolution authorizes a funding agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in the amount of $4,692,090.00 that includes $2,120,000.00 in federal funds, $2,100,000.00 in Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District No. 4 funds and $472,090.00 in City 2007 Critical Capital Projects fund (M &C G- 15621, March 6, 2007) and initial payment to TxDOT in the amount of $25,590.00 for design review requirements. TxDOT is responsible for design review and construction oversight in association with the use of federal funds. Jacobs Engineering Group was selected for the design of this project for an amount of $426,500.00 (M &C C- 23277, January 13, 2009). This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICTS 8 and 9, Mapsco 76K, 76L, 76M and 77J.
