CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Price called the Special Called Council Meeting of the Fort Worth City Council to
order 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, in the Fort Worth Convention Ballroom,
1201 Houston Street, Fort Worth, Texas.
INVOCATION - Reverend Chris Mesa - Arborlawn United Methodist Church
The invocation was provided by Reverend Chris Mesa, Arborlawn United Methodist
Church.
PLEDGES OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE UNITED STATES AND THE STATE
OF TEXAS - Presentation of Colors by Dunbar High School JROTC
The Dunbar High School JROTC presented the colors, and the Pledge of Allegiance to
the United States of America was recited.

CERTIFICATION OF OFFICIAL RETURNS BY CITY SECRETARY
21-1524 A Resolution Canvassing the Returns; Declaring the Results of the Run -Off
Election Held on June 5, 2021, For the Purpose of Electing a Mayor and City Council
Members for Districts 6, 7, 8, and 9 of the City of Fort Worth
Motion: Without objection, Resolution No. 5406-06-2021 was adopted.
PRESENTATION OF CERTIFICATE OF ELECTION TO MAYOR ELECT
AND COUNCIL MEMBERS ELECT
Mayor Price presented Certificates of Election to Council Members Elect Jared Williams,
Leonard Firestone, Chris Nettles, Elizabeth Beck and Mayor Elect Mattie Parker. Mayor
Price presented Mayor Elect Parker with a ceremonial gavel and flowers.
REMARKS BY ESTRUS TUCKER
Mr. Estrus Tucker appeared before Council and offered congratulations to the current
and newly -elected Mayor and Council members provided remarks relative to diversity
inclusion and the vision for the future of Fort Worth.
ADMINISTER THE OATH OF OFFICE TO COUNCIL MEMBERS ELECT
Pastor Joseph Williams administered the oath to Council Member Elect Williams.
Ms. Nicole H. Firestone administered the oath to Council Member Elect Firestone.
Judge Kenneth Sanders administered the oath to Council Member Elect Nettles.
Ms. Deborah Coughlin administered the oath to Council Member Elect Beck.
REMARKS AND INTRODUCTIONS BY NEWLY SWORN COUNCIL
MEMBERS
Council Members Williams, Firestone, Nettles, and Beck expressed appreciation and
provided remarks about their vision for the future of Fort Worth.
ADMINISTER THE OATH OF OFFICE TO THE MAYOR ELECT
Revered Robin Pearcy, Yorktown Methodist Church, administered the Oath of Office to
Mayor Elect Mattie Parker.

REMARKS AND INTRODUCTIONS BY NEWLY SWORN MAYOR
Mayor Parker expressed appreciation to her family, friends, citizens of Fort Worth,
former mayor Betsy Price, and staff for their support and provided remarks about her
vision for the future of Fort Worth and her respective duties.
BENEDICTION
The benediction was provided by Reverend Mesa.
