Kayser, City Secretary With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Price called the Fort Worth City Council Work Session to order at 3:03 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in City Council Conference Room 2020 of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas. 1. Report of the City Manager - David Cooke, City Manager a. Changes to the City Council Agenda M&C 21-0368 will be removed from consent for a speaker. M&C 21-0365 is an approval not a ratification. M&C 21-0370 is in Council District 7 not Council District 9. Upcoming and Recent Events City Manager Cooke called on Director of Diversity and Inclusion, Christina Brooks, to update the Council on the various Juneteenth activities for this year. c. Organizational Updates and Employee Recognition(s) City Manager Cooke called on Assistant City Manager Fernando Costa to brief the Council on the CLIDE awards the City of Fort Worth received at the North Central Texas Council of Governments Annual meeting. Additionally Mayor Price was awarded the William J. Pitstick award for regionalism, the Texas Motor Speedway Vaccination Clinic won the 2021 Regional Cooperation Award, and Council Member Kelly Allen Gray was elected to the Executive Board as Vice President. d. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports Before the Council discussed Future Agenda Items Council Member Flores asked a question about M&C 21-0388, involving the Tarrant Area Food Bank's use of a bus to deliver fresh food and provide other services for residents of food deserts throughout the city. Victor Turner, Neighborhood Services, showed a picture of the bus and recognized Tarrant Area Food Bank staff who were present. Council Member Bivens - 1) fine structure in states that touch the Cross Timers, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, for tree ordinance violations; 2) HUD Section 3 Registry - briefing to HFC on how the Business Equity Ordinace is going to effect the construction of Cowan Place; 3) Presentation from Police and Fire on how they will address the fireworks in the neighborhoods this Fourth of July. 9.
