BE)T ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 0F THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, SECTION 1. That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2012-2013 in the Budget o[the City Mk*nuger, there obai| also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Grunts Fund in the amount of$60,O0O.UO, subject to receipt ofthe Fiscal Year 2013 Impaired Driving Mobilization Program Grant, for the purpose of funding the Fiscal Year 2013 Impaired Driving Mobilization Program. SECTION 2. That should any portion, section or part of section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason 6vo court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgnentohuU in no way impair the remaining portions, moodoos, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance Mo. 20411-09-2012 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the oumo except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which ivakwcc said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption. Adopt the attached supplemental appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the State Asset Forfeiture Fund in the amount of $15,000.00 and decreasing the assigned fund balance by the same amount; 2. Authorize the application for and authorize the acceptance n[ifovv8[ded,th8FiSoa|Year3O13 Impaired [)riving Mobilization Program grant in the amount Of$45.O0O.00 from the Texas Department of Transportation; 3. Authorize the execution of a contract with the Texas Department of Transportation for the grant; 4. Authorize the transfer in the amount of $15,000.00 from the State Asset Forfeiture Fund to the Br8DtS Fund for the City's required match; and 5. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Grants Fund in the amount of $60,000.00, subject to receipt of the Fiscal Year 2013 Impaired Driving DISCUSSION: Mobilization Program grant. The goal of the Fiscal Year 2013 Impaired Driving Mobilization Program is to conduct a sustained Driving VVhi|8 |Db)Xioot8d ([)VV|) enforcement effort h} increase [}VV| arrests and decrease 8|cOhO| related onsSh8S. The grant provides funds for the Fort Worth Police Department to conduct DWI enforcement on an overtime basis during three enforcement periods, each centered around 8 national holiday. The grant will reimburse an estimated 1.000 hours of officer overtime and associated fringe benefits for enforcement ofthe program and 8n estimated hU overtime hours and associated fringe benefits for CERTIFICATION: administrative duties related to the program's reporting requirements.
