Commemorate and celebrate the life and legacy of civil rights leader Martin Luther
King Jr. with a city-wide screening of the short film,
Mighty Times: The Children’s March.
This 40-minute long Academy Award-winning film uses archival footage, inter-
views and re-enactments to shed light on the children of Birmingham, Alabama
who took to the streets for civil rights in 1963. A moderated discussion will
follow the film.
These programs are made possible through a collaboration between the
MLK/Juneteenth Employee Committee and the Diversity & Inclusion employee
committee of the Human Relations Commission. For more information about the
city’s employee diversity and inclusion efforts or to get involved with planning
future diversity programs, email Veronica.Villegas@FortWorthTexas.gov.
