Home My WebLink AboutContract 44073-A8 AMENDMENT No.8 CSC No. 44073-A8 TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 44073 WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Freese and Nichols, Inc. , (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 44073, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C C-25989 on the 4th day of December, 2012 in the amount of $ 293, 328 . 00; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT was subsequently revised by Amendment Number 1 in the amount of $89, 110 . 00 . which was authorized by M&C C- 26791 on May 6, 2014 , Amendment Number 2 in the amount of $598 , 940 . 00 which was authorized by M&C C-27382 on July 21, 2015, Amendment Number 3 in the amount of $164 , 738 . 00 which was authorized by M&C C- 27877 on August 16, 2016, Amendment Number 4 in the amount of $23, 957 . 00 which was administratively authorized on February 28 , 2018 , Amendment Number 5 in the amount of $27 , 349 . 00 which was administratively authorized on May 16, 2018 , and Amendment Number 6 in the amount of $26, 522 . 00 which was administratively authorized October 8 , 2018 and Amendment Number 7 in the amount of $315, 976 . 00 which was authorized by M&C 19-0115, and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following project : Lake Worth Trail - Section Al - A3; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 8 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee. NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT : 1 . Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer totals $22,128. 00. (See Attached Funding Breakdown Sheet, Page -4-) 2 . The project consists of a proposed sidewalk trail along Cahoba Drive. The purpose of this contract is to prepare a drainage assessment in accordance with City standards in support of the project. The following tasks are included in the contract: BASIC SERVICES Phase 1 • Task 1 —Project Management • Task 2—Document Review Phase 2 • Task 1 —Trail Realignment to avoid Stormwater Concerns Phase 3 • Task 1 —Pre- and Post-Project Drainage Area Delineations • Task 2—Drainage Improvements Recommendations • Task 3 - Drainage Memo and iSWM Checklist • Task 4—Grading Permit • Task 5 —Drainage Sheets for Plan Set • Task 6—City Coordination BASIC SERVICES PHASE 1 TASK 1 —PROJECT MANAGEMENT A. Provide basic project management and coordination services with team. TASK 2—DOCUMENT REVIEW A. Final review and quality control of documents prior to delivery PHASE 2 TASK 1 —TRAIL REALIGNMENT TO AVOID STORMWATER CONCERNS A. Realign trail layout to provide more room alongside of the roadway, associated grading and hardscape items. Page 1 PHASE 3 TASK I —PRE-AND POST-PROJECT DRAINAGE AREA DELINEATION A. Delineate drainage areas based on best available LiDAR topography to the project site's outfall points for pre-project and post-project conditions. B. Calculate flow leaving the project site under pre-project and post-project conditions using Rational Method. C-Values shall be assumed based on existing and proposed land use conditions and a minimum time of concentration shall be assumed. TASK 2—DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS RECOMMENDATIONS A. Review results of flow calculations at points of concentrated flow across the proposed trail. Provide recommendations for culvert capacity and sizing, ditch capacity and sizing. TASK 3 - DRAINAGE MEMO AND iSWM CHECKLIST A. Summarize the drainage assessment methodology and results in a technical memorandum. B. Complete the 1SWM Drainage Study Checklist. TASK 4—GRADING PERMIT A. Complete grading permit and submit to City for approval. Incorporate City comments as needed. TASK 5 - DRAINAGE SHEETS FOR PLAN SET A. Prepare pre-project and post-project drainage area maps and drainage calculation sheets to be included in the plan set. TASK 6—CITY COORDINATION A. Coordinate with City to incorporate any additional comments into final drainage sheets.
