FIRST AMENDMENT TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 55615
This amendment("amendment")is made and entered into by and between the City of Fort
Worth (hereafter "City") and Tarrant County Samaritan Housing, Inc. (hereafter "Agency"), a
Texas nonprofit corporation. City and Agency may be referred to individually as a "Party" and
jointly as "the Parties".
WHEREAS, the City and Agency made and entered into City Secretary Contract No.
55615 ("Contract") on April 21, 2021;
WHEREAS, City has received funding through the Emergency Rental Assistance("ERA")
Program established by section 501 of subtitle A of title V of Division N of the Consolidated
Appropriations Act (the "Act") ("ERA Funds"), to assist households that are unable to pay rent
and utilities due to the public health emergency posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and that meet
eligibility criteria;
WHEREAS, Section 5.2.3.1 of the Contract permits Agency to request an amendment of
the budget, subject to written approval by the Director of the City's Neighborhood Services
Department;
WHEREAS,the Agency requested a budget amendment from City in order to amend
EXHIBIT B, for the increase in funds to support additional program and administrative
personnel;
WHEREAS, the City believes that the requested amendment will help Agency meet the
program's goals and further the interests of both Agency and City; and
WHEREAS, it is the mutual desire of the City and Agency to amend the Contract to
complete the Program and meet Contract objectives.
NOW, THEREFORE, City and Agency herby agree to amend the Contract as follows:
I.
EXHIBIT"B"- BUDGET attached to Contract are hereby amended and replaced in its
entirety with EXHIBIT "B" Revised 9/30/2021, attached hereto.
II.
This Amendment is effective as of the date of execution of this Amendment.

All terms and conditions of the Contract not amended herein remain unaffected and in
full force and effect, are binding of the Parties and are hereby by the Parties. Capitalized terms
not defined herein shall have the meanings assigned to them in the Contract.
