AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE WATER AND SEWER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND,
FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF S1,140,835.00, FOR THE
PURPOSE FUNDING THE SANITARY SEWER MAIN EXTENSION ON MISTYS
RUN FROM KELLER HICKS ROAD TO OLD DENTON ROAD PROJECT (CITY
PROJECT NO. 103030); PROVIDING FORA SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING
THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 in the
Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water
and Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $1,140,835.00, from available funds, for the purpose of
funding the Sanitary Sewer Main Extension on Mistys Run from Keller Hicks Road to Old Denton Road
project (City Project No. 103030).
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void
for any reason by a court of competentjurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair
the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall
be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be incorporated into the ordinance effecting the budget of the municipal government
of the City of Fort Worth for the ensuing Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2021, and ending September 30,
2022, and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the
provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which
instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Authorize execution of a contract with Reyes Group Ltd., in the amount of $938,226.68 for the Sanitary Sewer Main Extension on Mistys Run
from Keller Hicks Road to Old Denton Road (City Project No. 103030); and
2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water and Sewer Capital Projects Fund
in the amount of $1,140,835.00, from available funds, for the purpose of funding the Sanitary Sewer Main Extension on Mistys Run from
Keller Hicks Road to Old Denton Road (City Project 103030).
DISCUSSION:
This Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) is to authorize a construction contract and appropriate additional funding for Sanitary Sewer Main
Extension on Mistys Run from Keller Hicks Road to Old Denton Road.
The project was advertised for bids on June 3, 2021, and June 10, 2021, in the Fort Worth Star -Telegram. On July 1, 2021, the following bids were
received:

In addition to the contract amount $155,697.32 is required for project management, material testing and inspection, and $46,911.00 is provided
for project contingencies. This project will have no impact on the Water Departments operating budget when completed.

Business Equity: Reyes Group, Ltd. a certified Business Equity Firm is in compliance with the City's Business Equity Ordinance by counting 79
percent of it's self -performance services towards meeting the Business Equity goal on this project. The City's Business Equity goal on this project
is 20 percent.
The project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7.
FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that funds are available in the Unspecified All Funds within the W&S Capital Projects Fund and upon approval of
the above recommendations and adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the W&S Capital Projects Fund for
the SS Extension on Misty's Run project. Prior to any expenditure being incurred, the Water Department has the responsibility of verifying the
availability of funds.
