Water Main Extensions, Replacements and Relocations Contract 2017 at Various Locations Throughout the City of Fort Worth
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Appropriation Ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Water and Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $60,000.00, transferred from available funds within the Water and Sewer Fund, for the
purpose of funding the Miscellaneous Water Replacement up to 12-inch project (City Project No. 100993).
DISCUSSION:
On Tuesday, August 29, 2017, Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) C-28353, the City Council authorized a contract in the amount of
$750,000.00 with Tejas Commercial Construction, LLC (City Secretary Contract No. 49645) for the Miscellaneous Small Diameter Water Main
Extensions, Replacements and Relocations Contract 2017 project. The contract was subsequently renewed twice in the amount of $750,000.00 on
February 20, 2018 (M&C C-28589) and on April 2, 2019 (M&C C-29082).
The additional appropriations in this M&C will provide for increased staff costs on the project for the three year life of the contract.

A Form 1295 is not required because: This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.
FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that funds are currently available in the Water & Sewer Fund and upon approval of the above recommendation
and adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the current capital budget, as appropriated, in the W&S Capital
Projects Fund for the Misc. Water Replacement up to 12-inch project. Prior to any expenditure being incurred, the Water Department has the
responsibility to validate the availability of funds.
