City of Fort Worth’s Role in Vaccines
•Fill in the gaps –matching available resources to needs
•Focusing on neighborhood level vaccination sites to interact
with hard to reach and vulnerable populations, including the
•Homebound
•Homeless
•Supporting private and public sector vaccination efforts
•Convening stakeholders and setting up forums for discussion to
allow for better collaboration and less duplication of efforts
•Educating and vaccinating the City of Fort Worth workforce so
we can continue providing services to the public in a safe
manner

Vaccination Operations
•Operations continue to maximize all available weekly allocations of
vaccines
•Working with Tarrant County to transition vaccine operations at Bolen
and Farrington Field to be fully staffed by City of Fort Worth
•Will maximize Bolen and Farrington sites –administer 40,000 weekly
•Move citizens through the lines in an efficient and quick way, less than 15 minutes
from beginning to end, before adding in the observation piece
•Focus on getting residents on a registration list!
•Residents are reminded to sign-up with multiple providers, including private
providers (e.g., pharmacies, doctor’s offices)

Vaccination Operations continued
•Continue to layer in neighborhood and pop-up clinics with MedStar
•Continue to coordinate with City of Burleson to vaccinate through special operations (e.g., homebound, senior living facilities)
•Ebenezer Missionary Church continues to offer vaccine in the Stop Six area
•Completing application for City to be an independent provider to increase potential for neighborhood and small-scale, local vaccination events –Johnson & Johnson only

Meals on Wheels -Homebound Individuals
•400 homebound individuals identified
through Meals on Wheels program as
needing assistance getting the COVID
vaccine
•Partnership with Kroger Health and City
of Burleson to provide vaccine
•Johnson and Johnson -1 dose vaccine
•Administered by FW Fire Department

Long-Term Care Facilities
•Approximately 50 long-term care facilities
still need vaccinations, including residents
and staff
•Texas Military Forces will vaccinate
remaining long-term care facilities
•Calling facilities first to get an accurate
number of those in need of the
vaccination
•Will use information to create and
implement a vaccination plan

Community Outreach & Education
•Continue to educate communities about the COVID-
19 vaccination with targeted messages to ensure we
are truly addressing concerns and hesitations
•Use trusted spaces and trusted voices within
communities to target and help in the delivery of
outreach efforts
•Partner with council members and other stakeholders
to create vaccine education opportunities in each
council district

•Hiring up to 100 part-time
medical technicians to
provide vaccine shots
MEDICAL EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
•Pay is $20 per hour.
•Up to 10 months.
•20 –40 hours a week.
•Position is currently posted

VACCINE SITE ASSISTANT
•Hiring up to 100 part-time vaccine site assistants to staff community clinics. These are administrative positions and will not administer vaccines.
•Pay is $15 per hour.
•Up to 10 months.
•20 –40 hours a week.
•Fluent in Spanish preferred.
•Position is currently posted on city’s website.
