With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Parker called the City
Council Work Session of the Fort Worth City Council to order 3:06 p.m. on Tuesday,
October 19, 2021, in the City Council Chamber of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas
Street, Fort Worth, Texas.
1. Report of the City Manager - David Cooke, City Manager
a. Changes to the City Council Agenda
City Manager Cooke advised:
He would withdraw M&C 21-0808 from the Consent Agenda and continue it to the
November 9, 2021, Council meeting.
Announced that Council Member Beck would make a change to the District 9 board
appointments to appoint Ms. Mariana Fletcher to the City Plan Commission/Capital
Improvements Advisory Committee for Transportation Impact Fees, replacing Mr.
Taylor Hansen.

b. Upcoming and Recent Events
City Manager Cooke announced the following:
On Thursday, October 21, 2021, there will be a Special Work Session on redistricting
at 9:00 a.m. in Room 2020.
On Tuesday, October 26, 2021, there will be the Joint Work Session of the Fort
Worth City Council and Redistricting Task Force, at 9:00 a.m., at the Rockwood Golf
Course Clubhouse
On Tuesday, November 2, 2021, there will be a Special Called City Council Meeting at
12:55 p.m. in Room 2020, to consider a resolution to cast votes for Tarrant County
Appraisal District in accordance with Section 6.03 (K-1) of the Texas Tax Code.
November 2, 2021, will also be the start of the new Council Meeting
Schedule.
- Executive Session at 12:00 p.m.
- Work Session at 1:00 p.m.
- Council Meeting at 6:00 p.m. for Public Comments.
Fort Worth Community Emergency Response Team is holding a 24-hour basic class
at Bob Bolen Public Safety Complex, 505 W. Felix St. Class will be conducted 8:00
a.m. to 4;00 p.m. on three Saturdays: October 30, 2021, November 6 and 13, 2021.
Rising Stars Youth Leadership Academy fall session orientation will be on Saturday,
October 23, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Fellowship Corner, 1601 New York
Avenue.
Fifth annual Fort Worth Firefighters Chili Cook -off will be held Saturday, October 30,
2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Downtown at General Worth Square, 900 Main
St. Entry is free; tickets will be sold for chili and beverages. Proceeds benefit Fort
Worth Firefighters Charities

Mr. William Rumuly, Municipal Court Director, announced that Municipal Court
Week was set for November 1-5, 2021, and invited everyone to attend various events.
Chief Judge Danny Rodgers announced that today was the first day back for jury
trials.

Council Member Williams advised that he would be asking Council to approve
ceremonial travel to Italy with Sister Cities.
Council Member Moon advised that he would be traveling to Louisville, Kentucky to
represent the City and would ask another Council Member to request this ceremonial
travel as he would not be present at the Council meeting.
