Education Strategies Mission Statement
The primary function of Education Strategies is to leverage City’s
resources towards improving education and developing a more
competitive workforce, through establishing strategic partnerships,
and collaborations with various School Districts, Businesses, Social
Services Agencies, and Community Institutions.

ISD Partnership
Meetings
•Purpose –To build/retain relationships,
improve communication and
collaborate in areas that will improve
children's educational experiences.
•Completed 5 ISD Meetings (Keller,
Aledo, FWISD, Northwest,
Eagle Mountain Saginaw)

Reading Instruction Program Overview
•Goal –To increase grade –level reading across Fort Worth
•Summer Reading Instruction program (June 28 th –August 6th)
•22 Locations (Park & Rec –Neighborhood Services)
•Participation goal (1,125) children between the ages of 5 -13

Continued……
•All participants will receive a minimum of 45 minutes of intentional
reading instruction 4 days per week.
•CDC protocol will be implemented
•23 Literacy Specialists hired
•After School Pilot Program (90 Children)
