Home My WebLink AboutContract 55546-A1 CSC No.55546-A1 AMENDMENT No. 1 TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 55546 WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and HDR Engineering, Inc. , (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 55546, (the CONTRACT) which was administratively authorized on the 8th day of April, 2021 in the amount of $ 90, 893; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following project: 7th Street at Burnett Storm Drain Rehabilitation, CPN 103056; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee . NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT: 1 . Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer totals $6, 641 . 00 . (See Attached Funding Breakdown Sheet, Page -4-) 2 . Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be an amount of $97, 534 . 00 . 3 . All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect. Both the CITY and ENGINEER have attempted to clearly define the work to be performed and address the needs of the Project. TASK 3. FINAL DESIGN (95 PERCENT) AND FINAL CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS (100 PERCENT). Amendment #1 includes the evaluation of a curb inlet improvement at the north west corner of the Burnett Street and 61h Street intersection. The design of the infrastructure will be as follows: 3.1 Data Collection • City will help by providing PCI score for 6th Street and determine the extent of paving needed for the open cut work. • City survey crews will help by providing survey investigation for the 4-foot inlet and storm drain lateral at 6th Street Cantey Hanger Plaza. • ENGINEER will provide staging area size and location recommendation and City will provide the temporary construction easement (TCE) survey for the suggested staging area. • ENGINEER to obtain detailed contour data and additional storm drainage record drawings for the drainage delineation task 3.2 Runoff and Inlet Calculation • The ENGINEER will delineate the contributing drainage area to the inlet in question. • ENGINEER will perform runoff and inlet calculations for the proposed inlet at 61h Street following the City's Drainage Criteria Manual. 3.3 Development of Final Design Drawings shall include the following: • Plan and profile drawings of proposed inlet and storm drain lateral improvements at 6th Street Cantey Hanger Plaza, including the existing lot layout with property ownership, streets, existing utility easements, proposed extent of open cut and paving. • Tables including the inlet contributing drainage area, inlet sizing and restrictor design results • Special detail sheet that is not already included in the City's standard details, including the inlet restrictor details for the proposed inlet at 61h Street. City of Fort Worth,Texas 7th Street at Burnett Storm Drain Rehabilitation Attachment CPN 103056 PMO Release Date:07/23/2012 Page 1 of 2 Upon approval of the Preliminary plans, ENGINEER will prepare construction plans as follows: • Final draft construction plans and specifications shall be submitted to CITY per the approved Project Schedule. • The ENGINEER shall submit a final design estimate of probable construction cost with the final design plans submitted. This estimate shall use ONLY standard CITY bid items. • Following a 95% construction plan review meeting with the CITY, the ENGINEER shall submit Final Plans (100%) to the CITY per the approved Project Schedule. Each plan sheet shall be stamped, dated, and signed by the ENGINEER registered in State of Texas. ASSUMPTIONS • Two half size drawings and specifications will be delivered for the 95% design. • A DWF file for the 95% Design will be created from design CAD drawings and will be uploaded to the project folder in BIM 360. • One full size drawings and specifications will be delivered for the 100% design. • A DWF file for the 100% Design will be created from design CAD drawings and will be uploaded to the project folder in BIM 360. DELIVERABLES A. 95% construction plans specifications. B. 100% construction plans and specifications. C. Documentation of key design decisions (Project Decision Log). D. Detailed estimates of probable construction cost for the authorized construction project, including summaries of bid items and quantities using the CITY's standard bid items and format.
