AN ORDINANCE ADJUSTING APPROPRIATIONS IN THE 2014 BOND
PROGRAM FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,403.93, BY INCREASING
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE FIRE STATION 43 PROJECT (CITY PROJECT
NO. 103643) AND DECREASING APPROPRIATIONS IN THE FUND 34014
APPROP ONLY PROJECT (CITY PROJECT NO. U34014) BY THE SAME
AMOUNT; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING THIS
ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 in the
Budget of the City Manager,there shall also be adjusted appropriations in the 2014 Bond Program Fund in
the amount of$5,403.93, by increasing appropriations in the Fire Station 43 project(City Project No. 103643),
and decreasing appropriations in the Fund 34014 Approp. Only (City Project No. U34014) by the same
amount.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or
void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision,opinion or judgment shall in no way
impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining
provisions shallbe and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance 25073-09-2021 and all other ordinances and
appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in
direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions
ofsaid prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

Adopt the Attached Appropriation Ordinances, and Amend the Fiscal Years 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Program
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Accept the donation of approximately 2.57 acres of land, located at Walsh Avenue and Walsh Ranch Parkway,situated in the Heirs of C.H.
Higbee Survey,Abstract No.2740,City of Fort Worth, Parker County,Texas from Walsh Ranches LTD,or affiliate,for Fire Station No.43;
and
2. Authorize the City Manager or his designee to accept,execute,and record the appropriate instruments conveying the land to the City of Fort
Worth;and
3. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the General Capital Project Fund in the
amount of$182,736.80,from available funds,for the purpose of funding the Fire Station 43 project(City Project No. 103643);and
4. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance adjusting appropriations in the 2014 Bond Program Fund in the amount of$5,403.93,by
increasing appropriations in the Fire Station 43 project(City Project No. 103643),and decreasing appropriations in the Fund 34014
Approp.Only(City Project No. U34014)by the same amount;and
5. Amend the Fiscal Years 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Program.
DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this Mayor and Council Communication(M&C)is to accept the land donation from Walsh Ranches LTD,or an affiliate(Walsh),for
approximately 2.57 acres of land located at Walsh Avenue and Walsh Ranch Parkway, Fort Worth,Texas for Fire Station No.43 and adopt the
attached appropriation ordinances for the purpose of funding the Fire Station 43 project from the excess funds from the Fire Station 42 project.
Funding for this project was included in the FY2022-2026 Capital Improvement Program.Additional funding in the amount of$188,140.73 is
needed for the Fire Station 43 project due to the design changes required by the location of the fire station.This action in this M&C will amend the
Fiscal Years 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Program as approved in connection with Ordinance 25073-09-2021.
The City of Fort Worth Fire Department and Walsh have been in discussions and are in agreement on the fire station location to
provide emergency preparedness,education, prevention,and response coverage for the City of Fort Worth far west city-limits.

This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 3.
A Form 1295 is not required because:This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that funds are currently available in Unspecified-All Funds project within the General Capital Projects Fund and
the Fund 34014 Approp Only project within the 2014 Bond Program Fund and upon approval of the above recommendations and adoption of the
attached appropriation ordinances,funds will be available in the General Capital Project Fund and the 2014 Bond Program Fund for the Fire
Station 43 project to support the approval of the above recommendations and execution of the agreements. Prior to an expenditure being incurred,
the Fire Department has the responsibility of verifying the availability of funds.
