HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 53147-A6 CSC No. 53147-A6 SIXTH AMENDMENT TO FORT WORTH CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 53147 This Sixth Amendment to City Secretary Contract No. 53147 ("Amendment") is entered into by and between the City of Fort Worth("City"), a home rule municipal corporation organized under the laws of the State of Texas, and Dr. Theron L. Bowman ("Consultant"), collectively the "parties." WHEREAS, on December 4, 2019, the parties previously entered into City of Fort Worth City Secretary Contract No. 53147(the"Contract"),for the provision of consultant services related to police interactions with the public; WHEREAS, on February 6, 2020 the parties amended the Contract to allow Consultant to engage a subcontractor; WHEREAS, on November 11, 2020 and August 12, 2021, the parties agreed to second and third amendments of the Contract to extend the term of the contract to November 1, 2021 and expand the scope of services; WHEREAS, on December 7, 2021 the parties amended the contract to extend the term to December 31, 2021; and WHEREAS, the parties wish to further amend the Contract to extend the term of the Contract to April 29, 2022 and increase compensation by $8,000.00 for a new total compensation amount not to exceed$158,000.00. NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties, acting herein by the through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement to amend the Contract: I. The Parties agree to extend the Contract,under the same terms and conditions,with a new expiration date of April 29, 2022, unless terminated earlier in accordance with the terms of the Contract. II. Section 3, entitled"Compensation", of the Contract is hereby amended to read as follows: City shall pay Consultant$250 per hour for Services rendered under this Agreement. Total compensation under this Agreement may not exceed an aggregate of$158,000.00, including any travel related or other actual expenses. WORTH, TX outlining, on a daily basis, the specific Services provided in the previous month, together with a detailed description of such Services and the amount of time each day spent on such Services. Invoices will be due and payable by the City within 30 calendar days of receipt. Consultant shall not perform any additional services or bill for expenses incurred for City not specified by this Agreement unless City requests and approves in writing the additional costs for such services. The City shall not be liable for any additional expenses of Consultant not specified by this Agreement unless City first approves such expenses in writing. III. All other provisions of the Contract which are not expressly amended herein shall remain in full force and effect.
