AMENDMENT No . 1
TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No . 56603
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Freese and Nichols,
Inc. , (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 56603 ,
(the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C 21-0770 on the 28st day of
September, 2021 in the amount of $1 ,291 ,465 . 00; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the
following project:
West Fork Collector Parallel, Phase I - Trinity River Siphon to
Walker Branch Connection; and
WHEREAS , it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to the
CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee .
NOW THEREFORE , CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through
their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following
agreement, which amends the CONTRACT:
1 .
Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and
incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services
to be performed by Engineer totals $40,193. 00.
2 .
Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in
the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under
the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all
work and services shall be an amount of $1,331, 658. 00.
3 .
All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly
amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect.
EXECUTED and EFFECTIVE as of the date subscribed by the City' s
designated Assistant City Manager.

Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) is providing this proposal to amend the Engineering Design Services for the
West Fork Collector Parallel, Phase I (City Project Number 103291).The following fee includes the costs
for the alignment study of future collector phases to aid in easement acquisition. FNI records show that
this proposal would serve as Contract Amendment No. 1.

Scope for Engineering Design Related Services for Sanitary Sewer Improvements
DESIGN SERVICES FOR
WEST FORK COLLECTOR PARALLEL, PHASE I
AMENDMENT NO. 1
CITY PROJECT NO.: 103291
The scope set forth herein defines the work to be performed by the ENGINEER in completing
the project which is described in general terms below followed by the detailed scope. Both
the CITY and ENGINEER have attempted to clearly define the work to be performed and
address the needs of the Project. The purpose of this amendment is to amend Task 2
(Conceptual Design) and Task 6 (ROW/Easement Services) by including additional effort for
performing a route study on approximately 5,000 linear feet of the future collector phase along
the West Fork Partners, LP. property to aid in easement acquisition.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
Task 2. Conceptual Design (30%) for West Fork Collector Parallel, Phase I
Task 6. ROW/Easement Services
TASK 2. CONCEPTUAL DESIGN (30%) FOR WEST FORK COLLECTOR
PARALLEL, PHASE I.
Services performed under this task of the amendment shall be per the scope of the original
contract. Linear footages will be increased from 5,000 linear feet to 10,000 linear feet to
encompass the proposed and future alignments on the West Fork Partners property.
TASK 6. ROW/ EASEMENT SERVICES.
Services performed under this task of the amendment shall be per the scope of the original
contract except as modified in subtask 6.2.
6.2. Right-of-Way/Easement Preparation and Submittal
• The ENGINEER shall prepare documents to be used to obtain right-of-way and
permanent and/or temporary easements required to construct the
improvements.
• The ENGINEER shall submit the right-of-way and/or easement documents to the
CITY PM for review.
• The documentation shall be provided in conformance with the checklists and
templates available on the CITY's BIM 360 site.

ASSUMPTIONS
• 2 Additional permanent easement documents, for a total of 6 permanent
easement documents will be necessary.
• 0 Additional temporary construction easement documents for a total of 6
permanent easement documents will be necessary.
• 0 Permanent access easement documents will be necessary.
• Right-of-Way research and mapping includes review of property/right-of-way
records based on current internet-based Tarrant Appraisal District (TAD)
information available at the start of the project and available on-ground property
information (i.e., iron rods, fences, stakes, etc.). It does not include effort for
chain of title research, parent track research, additional research for easements
not included in the TAD, right-of-way takings, easement vacations and
abandonments, right-of-way vacations, and street closures.
DELIVERABLES
A. Easement exhibits and meets and bounds provided on CITY forms.
B. Temporary Right of Entry Letters.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES NOT INCLUDED IN THE SCOPE OF SERVICES
Refer to the original contract for additional services not included in the scope of services.
