With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Parker called the City
Council Work Session of the Fort Worth City Council to order 1:07 p.m. on Tuesday,
May 3, 2022, in the City Council Conference Room 2020 of the Fort Worth City Hall,
200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas.
1. Report of the City Manager- David Cooke, City Manager
a. Upcoming and Recent Events
City Manager David Cooke announced the Police Memorial Ceremony on
Wednesday, May 4th at 6:00 p.m. at the Trinity Park Police and Fire Memorial, 2201
W. 7th Street.

City Manager David Cooke announced the Mayfest 50th Anniversary at Trinity Park
begins Thursday, May 5th through Sunday, May 8th.
b. Organizational Updates and Employee Recognition(s)
City Manager David Cooke called on Chief Neil Noakes to Introduce Commander
Monica Martin as the Fort Worth Department's new commander for the East Division.

Council Members Beck, Crain and Flores - Requested information on
decreasing the 8-year rolling maintenance program for pavement markings to a 3
or 4 year maintenance program.

5. Presentation on Budget Process—Mark McAvoy,Planning and Data Analytics
Presentation was provided by Mark McAvoy, Director, Planning and Data Analytics
Department.
6. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports
Council Member Beck - Requested an earlier opportunity for Council engagement in the
budget process; and informal reports on the funding sources, responsible departments
and best practices for maintenance of alleys and sidewalks.

There being no further business, Mayor Parker adjourned the meeting at 2:49 p.m.
