APPOINTING LAETITIA COLEMAN BROWN AS INTERIM CITY ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, Sarah J. Fullenwider was appointed by the City Council on January
29, 2011 to serve as the City Attorney for the City of Fort Worth per Chapter VI of the
City Charter; and
WHEREAS, Sarah J. Fullenwider has informed the City Council that she will
retire from her position as City Attorney for the City of Fort Worth on Thursday,
December 30, 2021; and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby appoints Deputy City Attorney/Chief Litigator Laetitia
Coleman Brown as Interim City Attorney to perform all the duties and have all the rights and
powers of the City Attorney under Chapter VI of the City Charter and to be compensated for the
position of Interim City Attorney as determined by the City Council until a new City Attorney is
appointed by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, THAT:
1. Laetitia Coleman Brown be appointed as Interim City Attorney with all the
duties and powers of the City Attorney as provided in Chapter VI of the Fort
Worth City Charter and with the interim pay of $203,600.00 as set by the City
Council until a new City Attorney is appointed by the City Council.
2. The appointment will be effective at 12:01 a.m. on December 31, 2021.
