RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council authorize execution of a contract with Makou Inc., in the amount of $929,690.00 for concrete panel
replacements at various locations for the 2022 Concrete Restoration Contract 1 project (City Project No. 103445).
DISCUSSION:
The Fiscal Year 2022 Pay -Go Contract Street Maintenance Program groups various types of street maintenance into specific contract packages.
The 2022 Concrete Restoration Contract 1 provides for the repair and reconstruction of failed concrete pavement at five locations listed below:

Construction for this project is expected to start in early 2022 and to be completed by summer 2022. There is no anticipated impact on the General
Fund operating budget upon completion of this contract.
This project was advertised for bid on November 18, 2021 and November 25, 2021, in the Fort Worth Star -Telegram. On December 16 2021, the
following bids were received:

*Green Dream International was disqualified because they failed to turn in their MWBE Paperwork.
Funding is budgeted in the Cap Out - Improvements Other Than Buildings account of the Transportation & Public Works Highway & Streets
Department's General Capital Projects Fund for the 2022 Concrete Restoration 1 project.
M/WBE OFFICE — MAKOU, INC is in compliance with the City's Business Equity Ordinance by committing to 28.00% Business Equity
participation on this project. The City's Busiiness Equity goal on this project is 26%.
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICTS 6 and 8.
FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that funds are available in the current capital budget, as previously appropriated, in the General Capital
Projects Fund for 2022 Concrete Restoration 1 project to support the approval of the above recommendation and execution of the contract. Prior
to any expenditure being incurred, the Transportation and Public Works Department has the responsibility to validate the availability of funds.
