RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council authorize execution of a contract with Advanced Paving Acquisition, Ltd., in the amount of $1,027,828.84
for the rehabilitation of approximately two lane miles of street segments on Mount View Avenue and Virginia Lane as part of the 2022 Hot Mix
Asphaltic Concrete Street Rehabilitation Contract project (City Project No. 103455).
DISCUSSION:
The Fiscal Year 2022 Pay -Go Contract Street Maintenance Program groups various types of street maintenance into specific contract packages.
The recommended construction contract proposed in this Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) will provide street rehabilitation for
approximately two lane miles of street sections on Mount View Avenue from Meadowbrook Drive to Panola Avenue and on Virginia Lane from
Oakland Boulevard to dead end as part of the 2022 HMAC Surface Overlay Contract project (City Project No. 103455).
Construction on these street segments is expected to start in early 2022 and to be completed by summer 2022. There will be no anticipated
impact on the General Fund operating budget upon completion of this contract.
This project was advertised for bid on November 18, 2021 and November 25, 2021, in the Fort Worth Star -Telegram. On December 16 2021, the

M/WBE OFFICE —Advanced Paving Acquisition, Ltd. is in compliance with the City's BIDE Ordinance by committing to 26% MBE participation on
this project. The City's MBE goal on this project is 26%.
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 8.
FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that funds are available in the current capital budget, as previously appropriated, in the General Capital
Projects Fund for 2022 HMAC Surface Overlay Cont project to support the approval of the above recommendation and execution of the contract.
Prior to any expenditure being incurred, the Transportation and Public Works Department has the responsibility to validate the availability of funds.
